My wife and I recently moved from the Boston area to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia using Thompson’s Moving and Storage in Dartmouth. They of course contracted Rawlinson to do the actual cartage, and we worked with a driver named Mike who could not have been more accommodating, friendly and careful with our stuff. The team he had helping him unload here in Lunenburg were also particularly anxious to do a great job. Overall, they all made a particularly stressful time go as smoothly as possible, and we really appreciated that.

I want to thank you for the good service I received from Thompson’s. I was very impressed with your movers Dee and Justin. They were very efficient and professional. After a quick assessment of what had to be moved, they quickly went to work wrapping all the furniture and packing it into the truck. There was one heavy piece I thought would give them a bit of a challenge but they handled it very easily and were able to maneuver down the stairs and up over the railing to make the corner at the bottom of the stairs. I was also very impressed by Justin’s skill to drive that big truck down the narrow country lane and to then back it out of the driveway and turn around in very tight quarters. My daughter received the furniture in Dartmouth and she also expressed her appreciation for Dee and Justin’s efficiency and the care they demonstrated when handling the cargo. The moving experience was a lot less stressful with these gentlemen. They did a fabulous job and I am very grateful for the service I received. I will definitely recommend your company to others who are moving. Thank you!

The driver found a big enough spot to park on the street and expertly fit the truck in and the crew did an excellent job! We move internationally a lot and the Thompson team was one of the most efficient crews we’ve worked with. Thank you for your excellent support throughout this move!

It was a very stressful time for us but you and your people could not have done a better job. The final bill was right within range of your initial estimate. I’m not sure you can know how much we appreciate that. One hears horror stories of moves that have gone wrong. It was an enormous relief for our move to have gone so right. Your people arrived on time on the day of the move, they worked so hard for us and they took great care with our belongings. They were very accommodating. We had the same experience at the other end – after our 41 days with our possessions in storage. Everyone brought their A Game and we could not be more grateful.
